It is a figurine out of chalk from the island of Cyprus, between 2000 and 1800 before Christ. I would say I looks more like an abstracted human body but I agree that it reminds of a christian cross. I guess it is such a universal symbol that we can't tell where it started and it's shape will be altered and repeated for ever trough history... I think that's what it makes so fascinating.
